Project Scope: Second-story addition, roof structure modification, dormer construction, window replacement, exterior finishes, and architectural detailing
BEFORE
This modest rambler was transformed into a classic colonial-style home by replacing the original shallow roof structure with a steeper pitch and adding dormer windows to create usable second-story living space. The changes dramatically altered both the function and the character of the home while remaining proportional to the original footprint.
Exterior updates included new windows throughout, painted siding, brick staining in traditional English red tones, and the addition of a front portico. Careful attention was given to architectural details—such as eave returns and trim profiles—to ensure the late-1960s home retained a cohesive, timeless appearance.
