The old kitchen cabinetry and appliances were removed to make room for a clean, modern update of white cabinets, stainless appliances, and gold hardware. A peninsula was added for barstools and a concrete countertop chosen to lend an industrial look. Hardwood flooring replaced linoleum tile throughout the kitchen and adjacent room. Components of open shelving were incorporated throughout to provide an open feel while maintaining plenty of storage space.
